The patient’s own blood is centrifuged to form platelet-rich plasma and injected into the skin to stimulate the process of regeneration of skin cells and collagen. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses concentrated plasma that contains approximately 3 to 5 times the number of platelets found in normal circulating blood which contains various growth factors and other biological mediators that help in the rejuvenation of the skin.
